Artists Statement: Whenever I see this photograph of the abstract tree it takes me back to when I first bought my old 1968 Mercedes, Margot.I shot this out the car window while on the slow country road bringing her up to Brisbane. Anxiously listening to every sound and vibration she made like a new mother. I titled this piece ‘Australian Roadtrip’ as taking these slower forgotten roads felt quintessentially Australian like I was rattling through the landscape from another era.
